Why is Harpswell Vulnerable?

• The Gulf of Maine is warming faster than 99% of the world’s oceans.

• The average number of 95o + days expected to increase 300% by mid century.

• We are experiencing an increase in storms and total amount of precipitation.

• Historical data tells us that the tides in Portland Harbor have risen 7 ½ inches since 1912.
