Harpswell, Maine boasts several historic village areas that are perfect for small businesses as well as the arts.  There are several community oriented stores that are owned and operated by local families.  The community is rich in fishing heritage and preserves that culture to this day.  There are several boat builders as well as marinas located throughout town.  The Harpswell Business Association is well positioned for growth and assists the businesses within the community.

 

Harpswell is just 7 miles from Brunswick and 35 miles from Portland, the state’s largest city and home to the Portland International Jetport (PWM). The Town is accessible by several major roads including Route 123 and 24.  It borders the town of Brunswick to the north, which is directly linked to U.S. Route 1, I – 295 and rail lines that will accommodate the expansion of the Amtrak Downeaster for a direct connection to Portland, Boston and beyond.
