The Code Enforcement Office is responsible for the issuance of all permits pertaining to land use, structures, flood plain, internal plumbing, septic systems, wharf systems and signs.  

Permits are required for ALL, but not limited to, new buildings, structural alterations to existing buildings, installation, replacement or relocation of plumbing fixtures, new or replacement septic systems, new or replacement signs, and blasting. Structural changes within a building would require a building permit. All building permit applications are required to have building plans and information showing all appropriate construction details. 

A final certificate of occupancy is required before new buildings and additions can be occupied. The Code Office can provide information on what inspections will be required for your individual building project.
