Roads

The Town of Harpswell is responsible for both winter and summer maintenance of its Town roads and only winter maintenance of the State of Maine Department of Transportation (DOT) roads. The DOT roads include Harpswell Neck, Harpswell Islands, Cundy's Harbor and Mountain Road. The Town contracts for such work which is overseen by the Town's Road Commissioner, Ronald Ponziani. 

UPDATE:  April 16, 2025 - all posting signs restricting weight limits are being removed today EXCEPT for Sage Road, Upland Lane and Grassy Lane. See the ordinance.
